The Matinee House
This was one of the best short-term rentals we’ve stayed in. Sara knocked it out of the park with the renovation and made the house super easy and comfy for a home away from home.
My journey into designing homes began through years of travel and thoughtful observation. Along the way, I discovered how a beautifully designed space could restore calm and spark inspiration, even far from home.
Over time, that appreciation evolved into a deeper intention to create residences that feel composed, elevated, and effortlessly welcoming. As life grew fuller and my world became centered around family, my focus shifted from exploring beautiful spaces to thoughtfully crafting them.
Today, each home I curate reflects a belief in restrained elegance, intentional detail, and understated comfort. Clean lines, natural textures, balanced light, and spaces that feel refined yet lived in.
I believe true luxury is quiet. It does not demand attention. It simply feels right.

Through the year
May brings the Lilac Festival to Highland Park. Summer is for the canal towpath and the beaches on Lake Ontario. In October the leaves turn along the Erie Canal and at Mendon Ponds, Wickham Farms, Long Acre Farms and Stokoe Farms open their pumpkin patches and corn mazes, and Letchworth is at its most dramatic. In winter there is skiing at Bristol Mountain and snow tubing nearby, and a warm house to come back to.
